Russia

Firstly in this installment i'd like to make a couple of thank you's - To those who have so kindly chosen to donate to our little trip, it means a great deal to us especially in the current financial climate, that friends, family & forum friends would give so generously. It is much appreciated :oD

So we are now back in beautiful Russia. We have made quite some progress these last few days and since leaving Mongolia & arriving here on the 2nd we have covered a fair few kilometers. Today sees us in Tomsk - which is a large pleasant university town with some lovely wooden architecture - of which we may see a bit more tomorrow - before heading off towards Novosibirsk. Due to the Iranian visa drama we now have to slog it back through this vast country all the way down to Socci where we hope to catch a ferry over to Turkey. If you have a quick look on our map you will see it's some 3,500 kilometers at a rough guess.
Treacle's holding up well although she is in need of some fresh oil and her fuel filters to be changed, i am led to believe that the *Air filter was changed just outside ulaanbataar. There are a few letters missing now on our doors, a few more squeaks and rattles than before but generally she is doing really well. :o) We often get "Johnny Local" come up to us and ask what kind of machine it is. They then invariably give us a big thumbs up or chest thump themselves which we take to be a good thing!!

Just a brief one from me today as i am hungry & thirsty!!! :oD Love to all & a more serious factual update to follow very soon!!
